• Looking Back on 2019

It’s been a busy, productive and rewarding year for the company. The last twelve months have seen some significant progress being made, as Laytrix continues to develop its innovative modular equipment for marginal field development and decommissioning projects towards commercialisation.

Business development work commenced from the start of the year, with a series of key meetings held with around 50 offshore operators and contractors over the following 12 months. These meetings generated plenty of interest and positive feedback on the concepts we put forward, leading to ITT’s for several projects over the coming years – and we look forward to seeing how these develop.

The above sessions were coupled with meetings with industry bodies, including the Oil & Gas Authority, which further raised awareness of our products and their substantial, tangible benefits.

Our team also attended a number of business shows, conferences and dinners in Scotland, England, Holland and the United States, including those organised by Subsea UK, EEEGR, Decom North Sea and the Department of International Trade.

Plus, we participated in a number of industry pitches, including sessions organised by Opportunity North East (ONE) and the Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC). Again, we received some great feedback from our exposure to these industry experts.

Rounding off the year in a fantastic, celebratory fashion, on December 12 we were presented with an EEEGR award in the Reuse & Decommissioning sector – and we hope to build on this success in 2020 and beyond.

Hoping to see a permanent personnel presence in Aberdeen over the next 12 months, we’re also all set for an exciting funding round that will help us to continue growing, meeting new clients, and inviting them to embark on this incredible journey with us.

From all of us at Laytrix, a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all.

    Andy Stevenson, CEO, Laytrix Ltd.
